RBI API RP581 modules

​API RP581: Pressure System, Atmospheric Storage Tank

​The RBI API RP581 modules allow the implementation of the RBI API RP581 2025 edition for Pressure Vessels and Piping (RBI Pressure System® module) and Atmospheric Storage Tanks (RBI Atmospheric Storage Tank® module) to achieve a long-term fully optimized inspection strategy adapted to the targeted asset and its precise operating conditions.  

Damage assessment

Screening of 74 potential damages triggered by the design, process conditions and fluids described by the user

Assessment result audit capacities with algorithm display for full understanding, transparency and knowledge transmission.

Risk assessment

​Calculation of the kinetics of the potential damages, the affected impact area results (in square meters and dollars) and the Probability and the Consequence of Failure.

​​Generation of a time-based risk matrix, with the element's level of risk displayed in the Asset Register breakdown

Inspection strategy

​Construction of the inspection strategy optimization based on the risk target defined by the user thanks to a set of inspection strategy deadlines associated to efficiency levels

​Generation of a detailed inspection plan with dates, resources, CMLs, ...

​API RP581 specificities in the RBI Atmospheric Storage Tank® module

​​Certain functionalities have been added to take into account specificities of Atmospheric Storage Tanks in the API RP581.

It is to be noted that Tank Roofs are not taken into account in the API RP581, but can be managed in the software (tasks, scheduling, HSE & Integrity,...).
